Your body, mind and soul are renewed after one day

"After two days the whole world also seems different."

Aquila Eco Lodges is a modern, ecologically sustainable nature retreat. It is nestled in the Southern Grampians National Park at the foot of Mount Abrupt, near the township of Dunkeld, which is well known for its art and dining scene.

The four self-contained lodges feature day beds with oversized cushions, set against huge picture windows, scenic patios with gas BBQs, and fully-equipped kitchens. The lodges are set well apart on 100 acres of virgin bushland, ensuring privacy and a peaceful atmosphere. They offer the perfect location for weekend retreats, romantic getaways and exploring the natural environment.

If you are interested in Australian native animals, you will find a plethora of birds to watch, kangaroos and wallabies basking in the sun, joeys frolicking in the grass, and in summer, echidnas and lizards meandering on the walking tracks, with an emu here and there hiding behind a grass tree.

  • The lodge creates a feeling that you are living within the bush with nothing to separate you from the outside experience, except for being contained within a luxurious eco-lodge. The bathroom was an experience of the outside as well, making you feel part of the environment and complimenting the living, breathing architectural structure of Aquila.
