Ilkley Cottages are set on a 33 acre property, just 11km north of Mudgee in the heart of wine country. All cottages look down the valley to the town and the nest of distant lights at night completes the feeling of being far from the madding crowd.
DESCRIPTION:
Ilkley Cottages are unique and quintessentially Australian. All 3 cottages are decorated with farmhouse style antique furniture and recycled timber, they are charming and full of character.
Each cottage is set well apart, ensuring privacy. All have wood fires for romance and warmth, backed by reverse cycle air-conditioning for those frosty Mudgee mornings.
The kitchens are well-equipped for cooking, so you may choose to go into town to buy ingredients for a romantic candlelit dinner for 2, or take advantage of their excellent deal with Blue Wren restaurant.

Maggies: AU $700 per couple for 2 nights. AU $1050 per couple for 3 nights. AU $1225 per couple for 4 nights. AU $1400 per couple for 5 nights. AU $1575 per couple for 6 nights. AU $1750 per couple for 7 nights.
Prices for additional guests in each cottage will be quoted on application. A 2 night minimum stay applies at Ilkley Cottages on weekends, or 3 nights on Long Weekends and Small Farm Field Days. Breakfast provisions including bacon, eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes can be provided for an additional AU $7.50 per person per day. Cereals, fresh fruit, bread, tea and coffee are already included.

CALVING GULLY COTTAGE
Tucked into a nook in the side of the hill and shielded by tall trees is Calving Gully Cottage. So named because in days past, this is where the cows went to be alone and have their calves. This feeling of safety, privacy and seclusion is still evident.
This is Ilkley's most intimate and romantic cottage, designed specifically for 2 lovebirds, and features a cosy wood fire and gorgeous claw foot bath. The cottage looks down through the trees to a reed fringed dam and windmill, with the lights of Mudgee visible at night.
BLACKMAN'S COTTAGE
This charming 2 bedroom cottage has a magnificent restored brass and iron half-testor bed in the master bedroom, with 2 long single beds in the second bedroom. The bathroom features a charming claw foot bath and shower.
The lounge room has a pot belly stove and double sofa bed if required for extras, plus a third bed can be set in the twin room if necessary. Blackman's has the same lovely views as Maggies, but filtered through the branches of a majestic old angophora tree.
MAGGIES
Named in honour of the magpie tribe that rules the area…although if you leave a door open it's more likely for a wren or robin to pop in. This is Ilkley's largest cottage, with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Each bedroom features antique brass or iron beds. The 2 upstairs loft bedrooms have their own balconies with expansive views over the hills to Mudgee, while the downstairs bedroom has the same views from a private verandah. The lounge room features a leather corner lounge suite facing the open fire.
