She was designed by world renowned naval architects and custom built to Australia's highest safety standards. A yacht of her calibre is normally in the hands of private owners and not available for chartering. In Marcrista's case however, her owner operators enthusiastically offer her for exclusive charter and love sharing the Great Barrier Reef experience and the opportunity to visit some of the most secluded areas of this pristine paradise.
Marcrista Luxury Charters offer private day charter to Low Isles and the Outer Reef, and extended charter to more fully experience the rare beauty of this area, visiting sparkling sand cays, deserted islands and the absolute jewel of the reef, the stunningly beautiful Lizard Island. Marcrista offers a secluded, pristine experience without other tourist crowds. DAY CHARTER TO LOW ISLES
Marcrista is an ultra modern, safe and luxurious world cruising yacht of European design. Built in Australia by top craftsmen, she offers warm teak interiors with soft white ceilings and carpeted floors. The luxuriously cushioned cockpit and fore deck, offer shaded areas where the quality Bose sound system provides relaxing 'mood' music. Warm hospitable and attentive service, together with stunning scenery, ensures your day will be a highlight of your time in Tropical North Queensland.
Named by Captain Cook in 1770, Low Isles lies 8 nautical miles (15km) to the East of Port Douglas. The Island is uniquely picturesque with its still operational 1878 lighthouse, white sandy beaches, coconut palms and lush vegetation. It is surrounded by a fringing coral reef that offers at least 15 varieties of soft coral and a further 150 varieties of hard corals. With the occasional turtle sighting and many varieties of colourful fish, the reefs offer great snorkelling at close proximity to the mainland.
A day charter to Low Isles is ideal for a couple celebrating a special occasion, such as an anniversary or marriage proposal. The fringing reef offers a kaleidoscope of colourful corals and tropical fish, and offers a wonderful taste of this magnificent world heritage marine wonderland.
Marcrista moors approximately 100 metres from the island in the shelter of the lagoon or off the western reef. They access a secluded part of the surrounding reef that offers a great variety of hard and soft corals along with many varieties of reef fish including sweet lip, unicorn fish, large colourful parrot fish, angel fish and butterfly fish with occasional sightings of turtles and bat fish.
You can swim and snorkel from their rear stepped swim platform, which has a submerged ladder. You'll be provided with snorkelling equipment and Lycra suits. Snorkelling instruction is offered to first timers and both swimmers and snorkellers are constantly supervised for safety. They also offer the ability to see under water, without getting wet, with their bathoscope.
Marcrista has a warm deck shower for after your swim. For those guests who choose to stay onboard there are comfortably cushioned and shaded areas to relax and enjoy the beauty and tranquillity of this island paradise. Gourmet dining is a highlight of the day, with all soft beverages included. Alcohol can be BYO or they can order in to suit your personal tastes.

Visa, MasterCard, Cheque and Direct Deposit. All credit card payments will incur a surcharge of 3-5% depending on the card type. Payment by Direct Deposit is preferred.
important Notes:
A 30% deposit is required within 7 days to confirm the charter, with the balance due at least 30 days prior to the charter date. Cancellation policy: All cancellations must be received in writing by Marcrista Luxury Charters during normal working hours. If cancelled up to 60 days prior to the charter date a booking fee will apply, depending on the charter duration and its complexity. This charge can vary from AU $200 to $1000. If cancelled within 60 days of the charter date 30% will be forfeited. If cancelled within 30 days 100% will be forfeited. If cancellation does occur, they will always try to secure another charter to reduce cancellation fees for you, however Marcrista Luxury Charters strongly recommend travel insurance in case of any unforeseen circumstances.
