The Canopy Rainforest Treehouses

ADDRESS:

247 Hogan Road, Tarzali, Queensland 4885.

LOCATION:

The Canopy Rainforest Treehouses and Wildlife Sanctuary is situated high in the mountains behind Cairns.

Just 2.5km on Hogan Road from the Highway at Tarzali between Malanda and Millaa Millaa, The Canopy Rainforest Treehouses are 1 hour from Innisfail and 1.5 hours from Cairns by bitumen highways (720m - 2200ft altitude).

The magnificent Cairns Highlands' region boasts stunning waterfalls and crystal clear lakes, ancient national parks, majestic trees and walking trails, and local crafts, artisans and markets.

DESCRIPTION:

Purpose designed for comfort in the wilderness, these 5 luxury timber and glass treehouses are perched high in the rainforest canopy on the banks of the flowing Ithaca River.

Positioned for complete privacy, each Treehouse features 2 king size beds, double spa, wood fireplace, fully self-contained kitchen, and a balcony with BBQ and hammock. All are totally secluded and offer a spectacular retreat from the everyday.

Is that's not enough for you, try The Bower House - their largest Treehouse and winner of four Master Builders awards. As well as the standard features of their other Treehouses, The Bower House also has 3 luxurious bedrooms (king and single beds), 2 bathrooms, (one with double spa), and is situated privately on a rainforest ridge offering spectacular valley views.

In a world of rapidly shrinking ecosystems, this 100 acres of protected vine forest is part of one of the largest untouched tracts of rainforest on the Cairns Highlands, and offers a phenomenally high density of rare and unique wildlife.

Resident Cassowaries, rare Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroos and endangered Green Possums call this forest home, whilst shy platypus inhabit the river. Pademelon Wallabies abound and Coppery Brushtail Possums will visit your balcony every night, whilst Northern Bandicoots and other marsupials forage on the evening forest floor.

Wake to a serenade of birdsong every morning as an ever-changing parade of rainforest birds greet you on your Treehouse balcony, or wander along the many walking tracks and immerse yourself in the grandeur of pristine, old growth, high country rainforest.
