Bombah Point Eco Cottages is located 2.5 hours north of Sydney in the heart of the Myall Lakes National Park, between the towns of Hawks Nest and Bulahdelah.
The Myall Lakes region is a magical escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Thousands of hectares of unspoilt National Park and State Forest provide the perfect environment for some of Australia's most diverse and abundant wildlife to flourish - visitors to the area may see everything from sea eagles, pelicans and egrets to wallabies, kangaroos, bandicoots, goannas and even the occasional koala. The area also hosts one of Australia's largest and most interesting coastal lake systems, with more than 40km of spectacular unbroken beaches.
From Sydney, head north on the F3 (Sydney Newcastle Freeway). Do not turn off to Newcastle, but continue along the freeway until it ends at a large roundabout. Turn right at the roundabout and follow all signs to Taree (Pacific Highway). The Pacific Highway takes you past Raymond Terrace and Karuah and into the town Bulahdelah. As you cross the bridge entering Bulahdelah take the first right, Crawford St, then the second on the left, Bombah Point Road. Travel 10km until you see the sign on the left marking the entrance to Bombah Point Eco Cottages. If Reception is unattended call Jill and Peter from the phone there.

Bombah Point Eco Cottages offer 6 stunning, architecturally designed cottages nestled privately amongst the trees at Bombah Point. Glass doors open to a wrap around veranda with bush and valley views, the perfect place for an evening BBQ or just laze in the hammock and listen to the birds, as the sun sets through the trees.
The main living area offers a gourmet kitchen, log fire, with the lounge and dining area totally surrounded by glass, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the Australian bush.
The huge spa bath will wash away city stress and the master bedroom with deluxe bedding will keep you cosy, while you watch the dawn rise.
Bombah Point Eco Cottages is not a resort so don't expect chocolates, mini-bars, organised 4WD beach tours or in-room massages (unless it is performed by your partner). What they do offer is a beautiful environment and private accommodation, with all the information and facilities for you to live out your dreams.
The Myall Lakes region is as diverse as it is engaging and everyone, from the most adventurous to the more serene, will find the perfect activity to suit their mood. You could catch up on some reading by the log fire, or take a nap in your Cottage hammock. For the more active, opportunities abound if you wish to explore the area.

Weekly rate: AU $1512 to $1700 per couple per night, depending on the time of year.
Minimum stays: 2 nights for weekends, 3 nights on long weekends, 4 nights at Easter and 5 nights at Christmas, unless they have a smaller gap in bookings that can accommodate you.
A single night stay where available: AU $300 per couple.

Bombah Point Eco Cottages is a self-catering retreat. Each cottage has all the tools and supplies necessary to create delicious meals. A small but comprehensive supermarket is available 10 minutes away in Bulahdelah and a much larger Bilo is open in Tea Gardens, but they encourage their guests to bring any specialty items with them from home. They also have a limited quantity of kitchen "basics" that can be purchased and special kitchen equipment can usually be provided on request. You can also pre-order a Breakfast Basket, Picnic Hamper, BBQ Dinner Pack or Gourmet Dinner Pack from their menu.
Guests looking for a novel to read by the fire or a wildlife guidebook to identify the bird outside their bedroom need go no further than their central reception building. There is a comprehensive reading library of fiction and reference books, as well as information on activities available in the local area. In addition, there is a collection of DVD's and CDs that are available for guests to borrow.
Built in a style similar to the cottages, the Reception Building houses a pool, billiards table, TV and DVD.
